October Update: Port 25 and email security

Network security has always been a priority at Hyper Expert. Up until today, we have taken the reactive approach to stop email spam and IP abuse on port 25. However, today, we are also adding proactive security measures to prevent spam before it happens.

A large distributed and very high performance security layer has been added to the network to filter out all outgoing mail. This layer is fully transparent to all customers and no changes are needed from the client side beside editing your spf record with the following:

v=spf1 include:mail.hyper.expert ~all

This addition was very necessary to immediately put a full stop to the growing email abuse. Instead of fully blocking port 25, we have worked very hard to provide a security measure that everyone can enjoy without having to migrate their email needs somewhere else.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need any assistance with this, please do not hesitate to let us know by contacting support.

Is anyone else having difficulty sending emails after this update? I’ve updated SPF records as mentioned, by my wordpress/woo sites are still not delivering email even though delivery reports say they have been.

Please refer to the ticket you have open about this.
